Selecting a V-die
An average opening of a V-die equals 8 times the thickness of the plate.
With normal plates (i.e. st = 450N/mm2) the minimal V-opening may be as low as 6 times the thickness of the plate.
When bending hard brittle plates, the recommended V-opening must vary between 10 to 12 times the thickness of the plate in order to prevent it from cracking.
